This report is about my English class that was held on Azar 12th, I started this blog to give a report about my English class. Unlike previous sessions, this session I was really careful about what was happening during the class to write a good reporادامه مطلب

Last session I was supposed to examine carefully the teaching process in my English class to write a report about it. Last session first of all the teacher came to the class and after greeting she started teaching. The lesson was about planetادامه مطلب

Previous session I was the leader of a group of four students. I was supposed to help my classmates to do the exercises of the workbook, but it was not a good experience. One of my classmates really needed my guidance and I helped her to do the homeادامه مطلب

Last session, first of all, we took our listening exam which lasted about 15 minutes. Then we started doing the exercises of the workbook and as you explained to us, we did these exercises together and I helped four of my friends to do the exercises.ادامه مطلب

When I work in group, I am satisfied about my hours passing in the classroom. That was what happened in our English class last session. Our teacher told us to work in a group, she chose me as a foreman of the group and asked me to work with low level students. She also defined if our group try hard we will get a posetive mark and for me there will be a special point too. You know, the most important point about this is not exactly the posetive point but enjoying the classroom, cooperating, communicating and experiencing TEAM working. The other great experince took place at our classroom last session was being a reporter for our own weblog.Our teacher asked us to be like a reporter and upload our own reports at this weblog. Today is the twelfth of Azar and I am sitting in the class paying attention carefully to the process going on in the class. In this session teacher starts teaching lesson two which is about "wonders of creation". First teacher gives the class a warm_up exercise by asking about what comes to our mind when we hear the word "wonders of creation". Then we start reading the conversation part which is really easy for me. Teacher gives students five minutes to practice the conversation in pairs. But the conversation is really easy for me and I can memorize it by taking a single look at it. After that, teacher asks some of the pairs to come to the board and act out the conversation. After conversation, we get to the part which is titled "new words and expressions". Honestly, some of the words are new for me, but sixty percent of them are words that I already know. That's it! In this session we covered the lesson to the end of "new words and expressions" part. The rest of the lesson was left for the following sessions. ادامه مطلب

On 12th of Azar, my teacher taught pages 47- 49 of 10th grade at English class. It was very boing. Sometimes at English classes I feel sorry for pre leaing English at institutes, because class changes to a condition that is just for reviewing what I have leaed in a dissapointing way. Our teacher is a high level English teacher, but I think that is not enough for me to enjoy the classroom or to care what she is saying.Because most of the time I feel I know what she wants to say. So I prefer studying the lessons of next session, mathematics or memorising literature vocabularies. In fact I want to join my classmates and friends in useful activities but as I see there is not any chance to enjoy in the classroom I prefer doing something else.ادامه مطلب

This report is about my English class that was held on Azar 12th, I started this blog to give a report about my English class. Unlike previous sessions, this session I was really careful about what was happening during the class to write a good report about the class also to talk about the negative points of the teaching process that makes the class less interesting. When the instructor came to the class he started teaching immediately after entering the class. She was not that much energetic. She started teaching the conversation about the planets .It was like a piece of cake. When she played the audio file, it started reading the passage with sound with wrong intonation and pronunciation. The speaker even mispronounced the name of planets. I think if the teacher asked one of us to read the passage, we would it with better intonation and pronunciation. After that she told the meaning of so-called new words. The new words were not new words to me and I guess to the other students. Then she asked us to answer the easy questions of the book about the conversation. I wish she worked on something more difficult or brought a difficult conversation about the same subject with her to the ادامه مطلب

Last session I was supposed to examine carefully the teaching process in my English class to write a report about it. Unfortunately the lesson had some scientist issues like including Pluto in the solar system, but everybody knows that Pluto does not belong to the solar system any more. As a result of this, I felt as if the conversation belonged to many years ago. I wished that the teacher brought some more up-to-date materials to the class. I am really interested in astronomy, but what is mentioned in the book is not really interesting to me. There are so many interesting short video clips about stars, black holes galaxies and new discoveries in the field of astronomy that the teacher could use them. After teaching the conversation the teacher told us the meaning new words. Is “healthy” or “fact” a new word?? Since you’ve told me that I can make suggestions to improve the class, I came up with a suggestion to improve the English class. Previous session I was the leader of a group of four students. I was supposed to help my classmates to do the exercises of the workbook, but it was not a good experience. One of my classmates really needed my guidance and I helped her to do the homework, but the other three were complaining that why I was the leader while they were capable of leading the group too. I tried to solve the problem and establish a good relationship with them and cooperate with them to do the homework together but they refused and just complained. As the group leader I felt that I have done nothing, because If I want to tell you the truth I think that only one of that students in my team needed my help and the other three students did not my help. So I felt really useless and the activity was really absurd, pointless and time-consuming. I think that the session that we’ve read the short story by Tolstoy was better than this teamwork and group work because I leaed some new words and the story was interesting and worth reading, too. ادامه مطلب

Then we started doing the exercises of the workbook and as you explained to us, we did these exercises together and I helped four of my friends to do the exercises. It was a really good experience because I helped my friends to answer the questions and I felt really helpful. We did the exercises to gather. For instance, I asked Sarah to read the reading on page 26 and then I asked Maryam to read the answer to post reading questions. I really felt as if I was a real teacher and I wish that the teacher will use this strategy for the next sessions. The only problem was that one of my classmates had some problems with me and could not accept that I was the leader of the group and she did not listen to my answers, but other members of my team really cooperated with me. I personally like the concept of group work and team work, not only because I was the leader of the group, but also because it increases collaboration among students of a class. We worked on the all exercises of lesson 2 and I solved my friends’ problems. ادامه مطلب
