Previous session I was the leader of a group of four students. I was supposed to help my classmates to do the exercises of the workbook, but it was not a good experience. One of my classmates really needed my guidance and I helped her to do the home First report of Parvaneh...ادامه مطلب

When I work in group, I am satisfied about my hours passing in the classroom. That was what happened in our English class last session.  Our teacher told us to work in a group, she chose me as a foreman of the group and asked me to work with low level students. She also defined if our group try hard we will get a posetive mark and for me there will be a special point too.  You know, the most important point about this is not exactly the posetive point but enjoying the classroom, cooperating, communicating and experiencing TEAM working.  The other great experince took place at our classroom last session was being a reporter for our own weblog.Our teacher asked us to be like a reporter and upload our own reports at this weblog. In this session teacher starts teaching lesson two which is about "wonders of creation". First teacher gives the class a warm_up exercise by asking about what comes to our mind when we hear the word "wonders of creation".  Then we start reading the conversation part which is really easy for me. Teacher gives students five minutes to practice the conversation in pairs. But the conversation is really easy for me and I can memorize it by  taking a single look at it. After that, teacher asks some of the pairs to come to the board and act out the conversation. After conversation, we get to the part which is titled "new words and expressions". Honestly, some of the words are new for me, but sixty percent of them are words that I already know.  That's it! In this session we covered the lesson to the end of "new words and expressions"  part. On 12th of Azar, my teacher taught  pages 47- 49 of 10th grade at English class. It was very boing. Sometimes at English classes I feel sorry for pre leaing English at institutes, because class changes to a condition that is just for reviewing what I have leaed in a dissapointing way.  Our teacher is a high level English teacher, but I think that is not enough for me to enjoy the classroom or to care what she is saying.Because most of the time I feel I know what she wants to say. So I prefer studying the lessons of next session, mathematics or memorising literature vocabularies. In fact I want to join my classmates and friends in useful activities but as I see there is not any chance to enjoy in the classroom I prefer doing something else. This report is about my English class that was held on Azar 12th, I started this blog to give a report about my English class. Unlike previous sessions, this session I was really careful about what was happening during the class to write a good report about the class also to talk about the negative points of the teaching process that makes the class less interesting. When the instructor came to the class he started teaching immediately after entering the class. She was not that much energetic. She started teaching the conversation about the planets .It was like a piece of cake. When she played the audio file, it started reading the passage with sound with wrong intonation and pronunciation. The speaker even mispronounced the name of planets. I think if the teacher asked one of us to read the passage, we would it with better intonation and pronunciation. After that she told the meaning of so-called new words. The new words were not new words to me and I guess to the other students. Then she asked us to answer the easy questions of the book about the conversation. I wish she worked on something more difficult or brought a difficult conversation about the same subject with her to the First report of Parvaneh...ادامه مطلب

    Last session I was supposed to examine carefully the teaching process in my English class to write a report about it. Last session first of all the teacher came to the class and after greeting she started teaching.     The lesson was about planets in the solar system. Unfortunately the lesson had some scientist issues like including Pluto in the solar system, but everybody knows that Pluto does not belong to the solar system any more. As a result of this, I felt as if the conversation belonged to many years ago. I wished that the teacher brought some more up-to-date materials to the class. I am really interested in astronomy, but what is mentioned in the book is not really interesting to me. There are so many interesting short video clips about stars, black holes galaxies and new discoveries in the field of astronomy that the teacher could use them. After teaching the conversation the teacher told us the meaning new words. Is “healthy” or “fact” a new word??      Since you’ve told me that I can make suggestions to improve the class, I came up with a suggestion to improve the English class.
